Nirali Patel, BA

Nirali graduated from UC Berkeley with a BA in Public Health and a minor in Global Poverty and Practice and many of her undergraduate extracurriculars involved direct service provision for people experiencing homelessness. After graduating, she worked as a primary care case manager at an FQHC serving homeless and housing insecure adults in Oakland. Her role required collaborating across sectors to support patients in accessing healthcare as well as other critical social services and she particularly enjoyed working with older adults. She's incredibly excited to continue her public health career thinking about what supporting vulnerable communities can mean beyond direct service.
