The Analyst will work closely with the Principal Investigator and Project Manager to execute the project functions for the NIH funded project, Empowering Formerly Homeless Older Adults to Engage in Advance Care Planning in Permanent Supportive Housing (ACP-PSH): An RCT. The goal of this 5-year project is to recruit 650 participants to test the efficacy of an adapted evidence-based advance care planning (ACP) intervention and compare the effectiveness of a facilitated group versus one-on-one ACP visit. This involves working closely in a team with the Project Manager and partnering with PSH sites to schedule visits, conduct the research with participants, execute a 90-minute ACP intervention, provide payments, conduct follow-up interviews to track longitudinal ACP engagement, and keep track of participant retention. The Analyst will also recruit PSH site champions and collaborate with appropriate PSH site staff to ensure recruitment success. The Analyst will be responsible for participant recruitment and carrying out participant interviews both in-person and remotely with older adults (over the age of 50) in English. Commute required to different Permanent Supportive Housing sites in San Francisco and Alameda Counties. Salary Range: $68,000-$80,000.
The Analyst will work closely with the Principal Investigator and the Project Manager to adapt, pilot and demonstrate the feasibility of evidenced-based universal basic income (UBI) interventions. The Silicon Valley Guaranteed Income Pilot is a mixed-methods randomized controlled trial (RCT) to assess the effectiveness of guaranteed income on improving housing stability among 300 families with children in Santa Clara County experiencing homelessness. This RCT is informed by community-engaged research design in partnership with key public and non-profit community organizations. It is informed by an equity and justice implementation lens to focus on key priority populations including women-led, Black, and Latinx households at disproportionately higher risk for homelessness. The Analyst will be responsible for participant recruitment and carrying out participant interviews both in-person and remotely, and in English and/or Spanish. They will support project administration with oversight from more senior analysts. Travel may be required.
Salary Range: $68,000-$80,000.
The Biostatistician / Epidemiologist will work with UCSF Benioff Homelessness and Housing Initiative under the direction of the Director of Statistics and Data Science and other faculty principal investigators. While candidates living in the Bay Area are preferred, the position may be fully remote.
The Biostatistician / Epidemiologist will apply statistical and epidemiological methodologies to original research projects that focus on homelessness and its effects on health. The successful candidate will have the ability to work with a variety of data sources, including administrative and longitudinal survey data and will be able to clean, manage, link, and analyze these sources. They will be passionate about using data to find innovative solutions to homelessness. The incumbent will be able to conduct analyses and data management on multiple projects concurrently.
Salary Range: $100,000-$130,000.
