Axel Herrera

Axel first joined the Geriatrics team at UCSF in 2014 to support Dr. Brie Williams’ research and conducted field interviews with participants at the San Francisco County Jail and at UCSF's Tenderloin Clinical Research Center as part of a longitudinal health study.  Axel then joined Dr. Sudore’s PREPARE Study in 2015, and later worked as an Independent Translator working primarily in the field of healthcare, including studies for young patients undergoing cancer treatment in the Bay Area, and studies involving the wellbeing of immigrant families in the Salinas Valley.  Axel has a Bachelor’s Degree in Music from San Francisco State University and many years of experience in research.
