The Policy Director for the Benioff Homelessness and Housing Initiative will work under the direction of the BHHI Director to advance evidence-based policy solutions at the local, state, and federal levels. The Policy Director will lead and direct all policy work across the Initiative. The Policy Director will have a deep understanding of the housing and homelessness policy landscape and have strong experience analyzing and interpreting data to inform policy and program efforts. The Policy Director must be an incredibly skilled writer as much of the job entails writing policy reports, briefs, testimony, and other written products. The Policy Director will have experience translating findings and evidence into policy-relevant materials for specific audiences. The Policy Director will have experience working with legislators and policymakers across the State. In addition, they will independently oversee the policy program and represent the program to outside organizations. They will oversee all administrative operations, finance, human resources, and facilities for the policy program. Lastly, they with BHHI on formulating short-term planning and procedures. Salary Range: $125,000-$140,000.

The Division of Vulnerable Populations (DVP) in the Department of Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital, is recruiting a faculty member to conduct rigorous policy-oriented research related to decreasing health inequities. Applicants should be focused in the areas of housing and homelessness and related areas with a commitment to advancing the development of policies and practices that impact structural determinants of health. They will work in the UCSF Benioff Homelessness and Housing Initiative, located within the Division of Vulnerable Populations. The incumbent should be a doctorally prepared researcher with a track record of research accomplishments commensurate with stage. The incumbent should have a track record of funding support commensurate with stage.
